COVID-19 Clinic protocols
Please find below our pre-screening protocols for booking and attending an appointment as well as clinic protocols for safety and prevention of the spread of Covid-19.
If you have any questions, please call at any time and we can chat in more detail. Let’s all be patient with each other as we get used to this new way of doing things, and not let that little beast called fear get the best of us!
Pre-screening for Covid-19
If you wish to book an appointment, please be advised that you cannot attend if you are feeling unwell the day of the appointment. You can use the 811 on-line self-assessment tool if you are unwell.

Have you or anyone in your “bubble” travelled outside of Nova Scotia within the last 14 days?
Have you had unprotected close contact with individuals who have a confirmed or presumptive diagnosis of COVID-19 (e.g. individuals exposed without appropriate PPE in use)?
We have adopted several new mandatory protocols to ensure as much prevention and safety as possible. It is still your choice to come in, and if you just don’t feel comfortable then please stay home ☺
The waiting room will no longer be in use. You will be asked to wait in your car or in parking lot until you receive a text message or call from your practitioner. If you do not have a cell phone just wait for the practitioner to come out and greet you.
Please wear a mask to your appointment; home-made is fine.
The practitioner will greet you wearing a mask and with clean hands. After you enter the clinic please go straight to the washroom to wash your hands. Hand sanitizer is also available.
Your name will be written down in a clinic registry which is kept in order to track the spread of covid-19 if a case were to rise.
You and the practitioner will go over the pre-screening questions one more time and you will be asked to read and sign both a general consent to treatment as well as a Covid-19 consent and waiver.
The clinic room will be thoroughly disinfected between treatments. This includes the table (sheet changed and table wiped down), the head rest (cover changed and head rest wiped down), the pillows (case changed and vinyl pillows wiped down). Any high touch surfaces like coat hooks and patient interview chair are wiped. Bathrooms will be cleaned at least twice a day and door handles and high touch surfaces are wiped down between every patient.
We are to keep a written log of times and locations for disinfecting.
Clinic staff are to self-screen for Covid-19 symptoms daily and a written log kept.
