Carrie’s professional career spans over 25 years of certified training and practice in biodynamic craniosacral therapy, manual osteopathy (in study), massage therapy, pilates, yoga, and Embodied Developmental Movement and Yoga™. Carrie’s treatments focus on wellness outcomes based on addressing route causes of pain and/or fatigue; helping her clients to rebuild resilience and vitality.
Carrie’s love for movement and wellness sprouted from a career in contemporary dance. She received a B.A in Movement Studies and Performance from Naropa University. She danced for several companies and produced her own work in San Francisco in the 90’s. After having sustained several injuries, she began her training in wellness and rehabilitation starting with her own, providing her with much insight into the healing process.
Carrie’s philosophy considers the body as a whole; functionally, emotionally, and energetically. Carrie has a trauma-informed approach and has experience working with clients suffering from PTSD, anxiety, and chronic and terminal illness. In addition to individual sessions, Carrie is a trained meditation instructor, teaches somatic yoga classes and workshops, and is the embodied anatomy teacher for Atlantic Yoga Teacher Training.
Carrie is a registered massage therapist in good standing therefore her sessions are covered by most extended healthcare providers
